Box Canyon

Box Canyon State Park is one of seven units that make up Thousand Springs State Park. This trendy park is famous for Blue Water views, fishing, swimming and in the winter seeing the Eagles. There are two new parking lots and guests can drive almost directly to the main overlook. More adventurous guests should not miss out on viewing the icy blue water and waterfall up close. The trail is steep, but well worth the 2 miles to the waterfall or 4.3 mile round trip hike.

Billingsley Creek State Park

New Visitor Center to open 2022! The Billingsley Creek runs through the backside of the park. It is great for floating and fishing. The park overall is undergoing big improvements with a new campground, amphitheater and arboretum planned. Currently there is a barn and a market building. The new walk and bike path makes it an easy stroll from the Hagerman Valley Inn.

Miracle Hot Springs

Miracle Hot Springs and Banbury Hot Springs are absolutely magical. The all natural mineral water is silky and warm. It's a perfect way to relax and ease sore muscles or bring the whole family for a day of fun. They also offer onsite massages and private VIP rooms.

We personally recommend going for a massage and then renting a private room. It's just the equation for bliss.

Eagle Tree

Eagle Tree hosts hundreds of Eagles each winter. We're not sure why they like that tree so much, but every year Eagles visit the valley as the weather gets colder. There are lots of places throughout Hagerman and Wendell to see the Eagles, but that tree is usually promises sightings of these amazing birds.

The best times to view are early morning or evening. During the day they are usually hunting. Typically, the Eagles arrive in November or December and stay until March. Different temperatures may affect this timeline.
